1. About Us
501 Mining is a sand supply business based in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa. We supply screened building sand, unscreened building sand and plaster sand for construction and related purposes. By placing an order with 501 Mining, you agree to these terms and conditions.
2. Products & Pricing
All prices displayed on our website are in South African Rand (ZAR), quoted per cubic metre and exclude VAT at 15%. The total payable amount, including VAT, is calculated at the time of ordering. Prices are subject to change without prior notice, but any order confirmed and paid for will be honoured at the quoted price.
3. Minimum Order & Surcharge
The minimum recommended order is 10 cubic metres (m³). Orders below 10 m³ are accepted but attract a small-load surcharge of R100 per cubic metre. This surcharge covers the additional handling and transport cost of smaller loads.
4. Payment
- Full payment is required before dispatch of any order.
- Payment may be made via PayFast (card, instant EFT, SnapScan) through our website, or via direct EFT to our bank account.
- If paying by direct EFT, proof of payment must be sent to us via WhatsApp or email before your order will be processed.
- Orders will only be scheduled for delivery once payment has been confirmed.
5. Delivery
- We deliver within Pretoria and surrounding areas including Centurion, Midrand, Pretoria East, Pretoria North, Pretoria West, Mamelodi, Soshanguve, Mabopane and Atteridgeville.
- Delivery is typically completed within 1 to 3 business days from the date payment is confirmed.
- Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by weather, vehicle availability or other circumstances beyond our control. We will communicate any delays promptly.
- The customer is responsible for ensuring that the delivery site is accessible for our vehicles and that there is adequate space for offloading.
- Delivery charges, if applicable, will be communicated at the time of ordering.
6. Return & Refund Policy
- Due to the nature of bulk sand supply, returns are generally not possible once the sand has been delivered and offloaded at the customer's site.
- If your order is not delivered within 3 business days of the confirmed delivery date, you are entitled to a full refund of the amount paid.
- If the wrong product or quantity is delivered, please notify us within 24 hours of delivery. We will arrange correction at no additional cost, or issue a refund for the difference.
- Refunds will be processed within 7 business days via the original payment method.
- 501 Mining is not liable for any losses arising from delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, road closures, or equipment breakdowns.
7. Cancellation
- You may cancel your order at any time before dispatch for a full refund.
- Once the delivery vehicle has been dispatched, cancellation is no longer possible and no refund will be issued.

8. Quality
We supply sand directly from our mine source. While we take reasonable care to ensure consistent quality, natural sand products may vary slightly in colour and texture between batches. This is normal and does not constitute a defect.
9. Limitation of Liability
501 Mining's liability is limited to the value of the order placed. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential or special damages arising from the use of our products or any delay in delivery.
10. Privacy
We collect your name, contact details and delivery address solely for the purpose of processing and delivering your order. We do not share your personal information with third parties except as required for payment processing (PayFast) and delivery. Our practices comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), Act 4 of 2013.
